Savage Raiding
Chicken Saturday is open for recruitment
Looking for 1 member for the following job(s):
TLDR; Casual group looking to finish M4S and have a stable member for Savage going forward.
Looking for: : DRK / GNB / PLD OT
Current team: WAR, SCH, WHM, VPR, DNC, BLM, RDM
We are a laid back, casual-to-midcore group composed of longtime friends. We are looking for someone who is chill and down to earth to round out our roster. We typically clear raid tiers on-content, but at a slow pace. Due to some roster changes, this has been our slowest tier yet, and we are looking for a patient, good-natured, consistent, and thoughtful player for our final slot.
As it's pretty late in the tier and only 2 of the 7 in the group have cleared, this is a good opening for someone who is either new to raiding or a returning player. We are open to both, but for a new player, mechanical consistency is key. If you don't know the fights, don't have the gear, or don't have good logs, that's all fine, as long as you can show consistency in execution, willingness to learn, and competency in learning and communication. The clear is valued over your ability to optimize, but many of us also enjoy optimizing as prog goes on.
This is a diverse static composed of working adults that often raid log outside of major patches. We play for fun and sometimes shuffle roles between tiers as many of us have played since 2.0 and we are a pretty flexible group that enjoys learning new jobs. Progging outside of the raid is fine as long as it's done after the raid times to avoid locking the team out of 2-chest clears. As we only play four hours a week as a team, we start skipping earlier fights if the tier goes on once everyone has their BiS. We joke around a lot, and the occasional wipe can be caused by this, but we do care about finishing the tier. We have not yet seriously attempted Ultimates, but will possibly choose one to tackle if we finalize the line-up and start clearing in a timelier manner.
We tend to do 10 clears of a raid tier before we finish with the tier and decide if we want to meet up for other XIV content (like attempting Ultimates) or take a break until the next tier. This is not a blind prog group, we play 4 hours a week so we aren't particularly precious about how you choose to play or study as long as you know the fight in the end so we can get it done eventually with our limited time.
If by chance this sounds like a great group for you but you don't play tank, reach out to me anyway and we can discuss.
Raid time: Friday and Saturday, 11:30 PM EST start time, we go for two hours from when we start. Rarely a third optional day may be requested to push a clear or on a raid launch week.
Data center: 6/7 of us are on Aether but we often need to travel to Crystal to play with the 7th member.
