Howdy! I'm Villi Katto-son, just looking for a good time progging and clearing trials and savage (I'd like to dip my toes into ultimates eventually).

I've been playing since the very beginning of ShB. Didn't start savage raiding till first tier was unlocked, due to nervousness.

Downed E4S within 3 months of my starting, I think? Was in an FC static for the majority of the 2nd tier, till it died. PF the rest of it. Got E8S done the day before next tier came out. I was therefore dubbed, "World Last", by FC mates. FC static reformed for last tier. We reached E12S, but could not get past phase 1. Kinda gave up there, TBH. Got carried right before EW, to get the mount lol. I should note that, when I first started the tier, I intended to tank at the very beginning, but getting a tank spot in PF at the time was difficult. So I DPS'd as SAM just to get in. After E4S, I was strictly a tank main.

I'd say EW, is when I actually understood the idiosyncrasies of XIV, and understood my jobs a bit better, on a general level. Cleared E4S another reformed FC static before echo was applied, which I was happy with. FC static was reformed AGAIN for 2nd tier, but sadly, we could not reach the end of phase 1 for E8S. So that's when I went back into PF for the first time in a long while. And managed to clear the tier there, while being very happy with my performance, which told me I had a much better sense and idea of how to play my class, compared to when I first started. Third tier was a repeat of the 2nd, so back to PF I went, while I was still in the static. Unfortunately, was only able to get the clear with echo applied, but was happy to get the clear in PF, in any case.

Now, in DT, I've been tanking for 4 years, and I told myself I'd like a change. VPR was announced, and I was very much attracted to it from the get go. When released, didn't take me long to pick it up, due to its ease of use, compared to other jobs, IMO. Me and a PCT friend (who used to be a healer main) are currently running the first tier in PF, while having the first 3 bosses on farm each week. We'd hopefully like to make a fresh party for M4S very soon, in order to experience, learn from, and eventually, clear it regularly. :)

Ultimately, my goal is the same as was during the last 2 expansions, except it's been shifted off of Tanking, and on to being a Melee DPS main. And that's to be BiS, have fun getting there, and eventually learning how to play each melee DPS, as best as I can.
